The winners of the 23rd SAMAs were announced at Sun City on Saturday night.
Kwesta who was a public favourite walked away with an impressive four awards including the coveted Best Male Artist of the Year and Best Album of the Year. The Hip Hop artist had a great 2016 and it would have been an injustice if he did not win this time.
Ngud got him two highest airplay awards.
Newcomer Amanda Black also had a successful evening walking away with four awards.
Nasty C, who many believed would walk away with some of the coverted awarded got awarded top prize for Record of The Year.
