FLOORS RELEASE DEBUT EP ‘FADE’ AFTER SOLD OUT CAPE TOWN LAUNCH

Cape Town based duo, Floors has released their new  EP titled Fade. The duo introduces their refreshingly unique sound of lush orchestral textures and choirs, and warm, rich synths with interwoven melodies and tonal colours surrounding an emotive vocal.

Mikhaela Kruger and Greg Abrahams bring a fresh sound to the industry, and both artists boast successful individual careers in music. Greg is a guitarist, producer, composer and former member of the Nomadic Orchestra who’ve previously toured extensively throughout SA and Europe. Mikhaela is an enchanting jazz vocalist who has been a part of the Standard Bank National Youth Band and competed in numerous jazz competitions. A talented pianist and composer, she co-wrote and produced the 2016 national hit single The Whip, with rapper PHfat.

Floos plays lush, mood-based electronica. Their music provides a broad pallet of acoustic, experimental and electronic sounds that create an expansive and immersive listening experience.

With a versatile, tech-based setup serving as an extension of the strong emotional intention that their music creates, they use vintage synthesisers and guitars, soulful vocals, a detailed production style coupled with highly descriptive lyrics that evoke a myriad of emotional complexities.
