The LGBT community and South Africans in general were shocked by the news of the passing on of well known activist, social media commentator and radio personality, Lara Kruger.
Miss Lara Kruger worked for Motsweding FM where she presented the Saturday night good time show on from 9pm until 12pm.

The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) has released a statement announcing the death of the flamboyant socialite and broadcaster, Thapelo Lehulere, also known as Lara-Kruger.
The SABC Board, management and staff of the SABC also send its heartfelt condolences to the Lehulere family and friends. Lara will be remembered for the immense contribution at the SABC as presenter of Motsweding FM’s weekend show “Di direga kae” since joining the station in 2016.
Lara was an all-round entertainer and videogrammer on social media platforms whose meaningful contribution to the SABC will remain and continue to inspire those who knew her both personal and professionally. She will be deeply missed and may her soul rest in peace.
The details of his memorial and funeral service will be announced in due course.
