Here are the top 7 local songs of 2017

Gqom dominated the airwaves in 2017. It was a good year for Distructions Boys.

Here at Zagossip, we were sure Distruction Boyz would rule the roost in the music circles. The production duo managed to work on some of the biggest tunes of the year. It seems they always found magic when they worked with Benny Maverick! Remember Memeza?

Oh, 2017 would never be complete without mentioning Samthing Soweto. Sun El-Musician found fame with his breakout track he featured the former Soil group member. Akanamali was that track everyone danced to throughout the festive season. We still love the song. It could become a classic.

7. De Mogul SA – Oe Batla Kae ft. Ms Mo, Makhensa

Ahhh, we love this song. It was released too early in the year, but De Mogul SA became a force to be reckoned with in 2017 because of the tune! We Dj Ganyani will help the budding De Mogul SA to remain relevant in the industry in 2018.
